France-based apparel retailer Lacoste plans to expand its presence in Canada, after posting a 10% rise in sales last year. The firm's retail sales in Canada totaled CAD80m ($.80.31m).
As part of expansion plans, the retailer has already launched its own 14 concept boutiques across the country to promote the Lacoste brand, reported fibre2fashion.com.
In addition, the Paris-based firm is also partnering with high-end Canadian retailers such as Holt Renfrew, Harry Rosen and The Bay for merchandising.
According to Montreal Gazette, the firm has decided to open namesake boutiques in the US and also focus on developing a wholesale business for high-end retail customers.
Over the years, the sports-inspired clothing and lifestyle brand has expanded its product line and now sells a wide range of items, including clothing, footwear, eyeglasses, leather goods and perfume.
