RBR Staff Writer Published 07 August 2013

C banner International Holdings, a China-based women's footwear retailer, has inked two distribution agreements through its subsidiary Mayflower (Nanjing) for French Connection and United Nude brands in the country.

Nanjing Mayflower has inked an agreement with footwear manufacturer Dongguan Highline United Trading to distribute French Connection branded products across People's Republic of China for a period of four years starting 1 January 2014. The agreement can be extended for additional five years.

Under another agreement with United Nude International and its unit, Guangzhou La Gu Na, Nanjing Mayflower to distribute United Nude branded products in China excluding Guangzhou City starting 14 March 2013 until 31 August 2016. The agreement can be further extended for additional three years.

C Banner chairman Chen Yixi said the company has always been seeking expansion of its brand portfolio.

"With their accession, our brand portfolio could be further enriched to better meet a wide range of consumer needs, thereby enhancing our influence in the women's footwear market in the PRC," added Yixi.

"Therefore, we strongly believe that the entering into of the Distribution Agreement is in the best interests of the Group and the Shareholders as a whole."

C Banner has acquired the distribution rights of Ash and JC branded products since March 2013 from Dongguan Highline and JC Leather.

The footwear company's self-developed brands include C banner, EBLAN, sundance and MIO.
